Advanced engineering for greener relaxation

PROJECT BRIEF

The swimming pool complex design project, situated at 5A Salatu Street in Bauska, is a collaborative creation by REM PRO and the Lithuanian architectural company “Forma,” helmed by architect Saulius Mikštas. One of the primary project objectives was to address the challenge of creating a low-energy swimming pool, ensuring sustainability without compromising functionality.

PROJECT DETAILS

The complex embraces two distinct pools — a children’s pool and a sports pool, alongside a serene relaxation zone featuring a jacuzzi. The design prioritizes thermal efficiency, with a compact layout aimed at minimizing heat dispersion. The roof design, akin to origami, not only adds an artistic touch but also serves a crucial role in conserving energy. Solar panels adorn the southern expanse of the roof, harnessing natural resources to power the facility. Distinguished by its copper-toned metal cladding, both the facade and roof are meticulously crafted. The southern facade boasts specialized, energy-efficient windows that enhance the building’s sustainability quotient.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The Bauska Aquatic Center stands as a testament to contemporary architectural and energy efficiency standards. This complex marries functionality with aesthetic appeal, offering an exceptional venue for sports enthusiasts and relaxation seekers alike. Its compliance with energy efficiency benchmarks underscores its commitment to both environmental consciousness and a superior recreational experience for the community.
